Immediate Opening for Assistant Planning and Zoning Clerk: The Town of Ancram is seeking an Assistant Planning and Zoning Board clerk.

Job description: Please refer to the NYS civil service website, which can be accessed at www.cs.ny.gov. The expected weekly commitment 4-6 hours. Some evening meeting attendance may be required.

Hourly compensation: Commensurate with experience and will be set by the Town Supervisor and department heads.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, the Town of Ancram Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 7:00 p.m or shortly thereafter.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that the public hearing will be a hybrid public hearing accessible both in-person and via Zoom. The public hearing will take place at the aforementioned date and time: (1) at an in-person meeting of the Zoning Board to be held at the Ancram Town Hall, located at 1416 County Route 7 Ancram, New York 12502; and (2) at the same date and time via Zoom. (Zoom access information below). Verbal comments may be offered to the Zoning Board of Appeals by the public via the Zoom access.

Under consideration by the Zoning Board of Appeals is an application for a Farm Stand that is requested by a commercial entity and is located within 150 feet of a stream. The request for interpretation is whether this requires a Site Plan Review or an Abbreviated Site Plan Review for the Town of Ancram bearing the Tax Parcel ID: 205.1-1-8. The parcel is owned by 1415 Rte 7 LLC. The parcel is located at 1415 Rte 7, Ancram, NY, 12502.
