The Ancram Town Court has resumed scheduling in-person court appearances for criminal and traffic matters as of 2/22/2021.
If you have received a traffic ticket, please sign the appropriate plea section on the right hand side of the ticket and MAIL it back to us by the return date indicated near the bottom left side of your ticket. This date is NOT a court date.
If you have entered a NOT GUILTY plea, the Court will notify you by mail of the date you are to appear. In lieu of a personal appearance, you MAY choose to initiate plea negotiations with the Columbia County District Attorney’s Office by mail at:
If you have entered a GUILTY plea to the original traffic charge, the Court will inform you by letter as to the fine imposed. Please note that when you plead guilty to the charge stated on your ticket, the Court cannot reduce your charge or any possible points associated with it.
