Emergency Services

IN THE TOWN OF ANCRAM:
DIAL 9-1-1

All 9-1-1 calls made from Columbia County are handled by the county’s emergency services department in Hudson, NY. The county EMS team will then dispatch the appropriate agency, depending on the type of emergency.

Fire Protection is provided by the Ancram Fire Company, Ancram NY. Call 518-329-2922 for non-emergency issues.

Ambulance Service is provided by the Community Rescue Squad, based in Copake, NY. Call 518-329-2200 for non-emergency issues.

Police Protection is provided by either the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department, or the New York State Police. The Town of Ancram does not have it’s own police department; however, a resident Columbia County Sheriff’s Department deputy is available to town residents on a part-time basis.
