NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that pursuant to Section 175 of the Town Law, and other applicable statutes, an annual election of the Ancram Fire District will be held on the 10th day of December, 2024, at the firehouse located at 1306 County Route 7, Ancram NY between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00 pm for the purpose of electing the following:
ONE FIRE COMMISSIONER for the term of five (5) years commencing on January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2029; and
Each registered elector of the Town of Ancram who shall have resided in the Ancram Fire District for a period of thirty days preceding the election shall be qualified to vote at the election.
NOTICE TO CANDIDATES
Candidates must file their names with the Fire District Secretary, Thomas Dias, on or before November 20, 2024. A candidate must be a resident elector of the Ancram Fire District and a registered voter in the Town of Ancram.
