Notice of Special TB Meeting

Date of Public Notice Event: May 1, 2025

The Town Board of the Town of Ancram will hold a Special Town Board Meeting on Thursday May 1, 2025 at 6:45pm at the Ancram Town Hall 1416 County Route 7 Ancram, NY 12502. The purpose of this Special Town Board Meeting is to pass a resolution authorizing the Town Supervisor to sign a contract which will enable The Town of Ancram to engage the company City Scape LLC for the purpose of reviewing a cell tower communications application currently in front of the Town of Ancram Planning Board.

Route 7 Ancram Closure May 5

Date of Public Notice Event: May 5, 2025

Rt 7 south of Ancram will closed to all but local traffic beginning Monday 5/5 and is expected to remain closed until September-October 2025. The work is for a bridge replacement near the Gallatin Town Hall.

The posted detour will be Rt 82 to County Rt 11 for the duration.

PB Meeting & Balloon Test

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, the Town of Ancram Planning Board will hold a meeting on Saturday February 22, 2025 with a weather date of March 1, 2025. The meeting will be held in person at 6534 State Route 22, Ancram, NY.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that Homeland Towers, LLC (“Homeland Towers”) will perform a balloon test at 6534 Route 22, Ancram, NY (the “Site”), in connection with its proposal to locate a wireless communications facility (the “Facility”) at the Site.

The Facility is proposed to include a 150-foot monopole with panel antennas thereon, together with related equipment located within a secure fenced area at the base thereof.

The balloon test will be conducted on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Site, or in case of inclement or windy weather, on Saturday, March 1, 2025 and then each consecutive weekend date thereafter until the balloon test is completed. The balloon shall be flown from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. weather permitting.

The purpose of the balloon test is to establish the approximate location and height of the Facility so that computer generated visual renderings can be prepared from various viewpoints. The balloon test will consist of an approximately three-foot diameter brightly colored balloon being floated on a tether line to a maximum height of 150 feet above ground level. A second alternate color balloon will be floated at 100 feet above ground level for evaluation purposes. The Town Board of the Town of Ancram will hold a Public Hearing on Local Law #1 of 2025: Amended and Restated Volunteer Firefighter and Ambulance Worker Property Tax Exemption.  The Public Hearing will be held February 20, 2025 at 6:45pm at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram, NY 12502. Ancram Fire District in the Town of Ancram

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that pursuant to Section 175 of the Town Law, and other applicable statutes, an annual election of the Ancram Fire District will be held on the 10th day of December, 2024, at the firehouse located at 1306 County Route 7, Ancram NY between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00 pm for the purpose of electing the following:

ONE FIRE COMMISSIONER for the term of five (5) years commencing on January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2029; and

Each registered elector of the Town of Ancram who shall have resided in the Ancram Fire District for a period of thirty days preceding the election shall be qualified to vote at the election.

NOTICE TO CANDIDATES
Candidates must file their names with the Fire District Secretary, Thomas Dias, on or before November 20, 2024. A candidate must be a resident elector of the Ancram Fire District and a registered voter in the Town of Ancram.
