The annual election of the Ancram Fire District will be held on Tues. December 8, 2009 during the hours of 6pm and 9pm at the Fire Station on County Route 7. The purpose of this election is to elect one Fire Commissioner for a term of Five years commencing January 1, 2010.
There will be a budget workshop on Monday October 5, 2009 at 7:00pm followed by a regular monthly Town Board workshop at 8:00pm.
A town board budget workshop will be held on Monday September 28, 2009 at 7:00pm at the Ancram Town Hall.
The Town of Ancram is looking for volunteers to work with the Comprehensive Planning Committee on our Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project.
The CDBG project will focus on hamlet revitalization, economic development and affordable housing.
The CDBG Project Team will meet once a month, starting late in July. The work should be done by the end of 2008.
The CDBG Project Team will work with the Town’s consultants and the Comp Plan Committee to insure a broad base of opinions and perspectives are represented, and residents of Ancram, Ancramdale and Boston Corners are able to participate in the effort.

The Ancram Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on the Ancram Comprehensive Plan at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Ancram Town Hall.
The Ancram Comprehensive Planning Committee will hold a second public hearing on Draft 10 of Ancram’s Comprehensive Plan on Monday, June 22 at 7 p.m. at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7. The purpose of the Public Hearing will be to solicit comments from Ancram residents and property owners on Draft 10 of the Ancram Comprehensive Plan, dated June 10, 2009. In addition to the public hearing comment period on June 22, the Comprehensive Plan Committee will accept written comments by mail (addressed to A. Bassin, Ancram Comprehensive Plan, Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram, NY12502 and email (to email@example.com) until Friday, July 3, 2009. Draft 10 of the Ancram Comprehensive Plan will be available for review by the public starting on Monday, June15, 2009, at the Ancram Town Hall, will be on the Town web site at www.townofancram.org, and will be emailed to people on the Comp Plan email update list and by request.
