ROAD WORK ON SAWCHUK RD

June 17, 2020 By admin

A MESSAGE FROM HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT JIM MILLER: ROAD WORK ON SAWCHUK RD

The week of 6/22 we are going to be repaving Sawchuk Road from the intersection of County Route 8 and Pulver Rd to the town and county line.

During the hours of 7am to approximately 4 pm the road will be closed to all except emergency vehicles and residents of Sawchuk Rd. Any through traffic can use Pulver Rd to Winchell Mt Rd as an alternate route. Also we ask that any residents of Carson Road to please use Rt 22 as an alternate route.

The project is expected to last 3 days and as always weather permitting. We are going to be doing the work in house, with assistance from neighboring towns rather than using an outside contractor. This is the reason the project may take a little longer than usual.

Thank you in advance for your courtesy and cooperation.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors School Supply Collection Begins in August

August 8, 2019 By admin

From August 3 to August 31, 2019 Ancramdale Neighbors Helping Neighbors Association will collect school supplies at two locations:

  • Ancram – please leave school supplies at the Ancram Town Hall with Monica Cleveland, Town Clerk, only during her office hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
  • Ancramdale – please leave school supplies inside the Ancramdale Post Office in the box marked school supplies.

We collect school supplies for the Taconic Hills, Pine Plains, and Webutuck schools. We’ve been advised that there are children in our communities who need our support.

The schools were most appreciative of the supplies we donated last year, and, with your generous help, we hope we can do even better this year!

Many school supplies are on sale now at nearby stores. If you are not able to shop for these items yourself, we will accept donations and, in turn, purchase the supplies the students need.

Please make your check payable to ANHNA, note “school supplies” on the memo line, and mail your contribution to:

Neighbors Helping Neighbors
PO Box 97
Ancramdale, NY 12503

Your contribution is tax deductible to the full extent of the law as we are a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.
