Ancram Public Notice – Ancram Town Board Seeks Applicants for Committee for Respectful Behavior -, The Ancram Town Board seeks Ancram residents to serve on a newly created Committee for Respectful Behavior (CRB) whose responsibilities will include recommending to the Town Board:  1) a Code of Conduct for Town of Ancram elected and appointed officials, employees, volunteers, and residents to guide respectful behavior in all Town activities; 2) a process and procedure to report, receive and investigate complaints from individuals who perceive they have been treated with disrespect in violation of the Code of Conduct by a town official, employee, volunteer, or resident who is participating in a public Town event; 3) a process and procedure to report the results of the investigation, recommendation and subsequent action, if any, to the complainant, Town Board and other affected parties; 4) the content, timing, and audience for a series of training programs that introduce the new Town Code of Conduct and which focus on verbal and nonverbal communications (including examples of disrespectful behavior) to supplement the mandatory annual NYS Harassment Training; and 5) any other programs, processes or actions that the CRB believes will contribute to the development of a culture of respectful behavior in the Town of Ancram. Applicants should submit a letter of interest outlining qualifications and experiences relevant to the Committee’s responsibilities to Town Supervisor Art Bassin via email at abassin@aol.com or by mail to Town Supervisor, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram NY 12502. Applications should be submitted prior to Friday, June 10, 2022. Interested applicants will be interviewed by members of the Town Board, which will appoint 5 to 7 members to the CRB.

Town of Ancram Public Hearing on Local Law #4 of 2022 – Support for Ancramdale Neighbors Helping Neighbors (ANHNA) Food Delivery Program – The Ancram Town Board will hold a public hearing at 6.45 pm on June 16, 2022 at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram NY on Local Law #4 of 2022 to provide financial support and the use of a town owned vehicle for the weekly ANHNA food delivery program.

 Town of Ancram Public Hearing on Local Law #5 of 2022 – Virtual Public Meetings – The Ancram Town Board will hold a public hearing at 6.55 pm on June 16, 2022 at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram NY on Local Law #5 of 2022 to allow the Town to continue to hold virtual public meetings.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town of Ancram Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 2nd, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that the public hearing will be a hybrid public hearing accessible both in-person and via Zoom. The public hearing will take place at the aforementioned date and time: (1) at an in-person meeting of the Planning Board to be held at the Ancram Town Hall, located at 1416 County Route 7 Ancram, New York 12502; and (2) at the same date and time via Zoom. (Zoom access information below). Verbal comments may be offered to the Planning Board by the public via the Zoom access.

Under consideration by the Planning Board are the applications for Site Plan Approval for a proposed Retail Alcohol Sales Store in the Town of Ancram bearing the Tax Parcel ID: 205.1-1-8. The parcel is owned by 1415 Rt 7 LLC. The parcel is located at 1415 County Route 7, Ancram, NY, 12502.

The proposed retail use will use the existing 900 square foot. The existing gravel parking area will be repaired and expanded. The proposal also includes a screening fence on the west side of the parcel, replacement of the existing split rail fence, signs, and lighting.

The Town of Ancram is accepting applications for a full time Motor Equipment Operator.

Applicant must possess a valid NYS Class A of B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and pass a pre-employment drug test. The job will include the operation of machinery and physical tasks in connection with maintaining town owned equipment and properties.

Town of Ancram – Request for Bids – The Town of Ancram will be accepting bids for the following: One new 2022 or newer panel cargo van with two passenger front seats, no rear seats, side sliding door, double rear center opening doors with upper rear windows, 4 x 2 wheel drive, 144.0 wheel base, regular fuel, 11,300 gross weight, with cargo area no less than 220.5 square feet.  Van must be delivered by December 31,  2022. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Office of the Ancram Town Clerk at 1416 Route 7, Ancram, NY 12503 at 10 am on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.   All bids must be accompanied by a letter of non-collusion.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions any attendees at the bid opening must wear masks and maintain social distancing. Bids will be accepted or rejected at the Ancram Town Board Meeting at 1416 County Route 7, Ancram, NY 12502 at 7pm, Friday, May 19, 2022.
