The Ancram Town Board will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 6:30 pm at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 CR 7, Ancram NY to solicit public comments on Local Law No. 1 of 2102, the Ancram Telecommunications Tower Law. Local Law No. 1 of 2012 proposes changes to the Town’s current Telecommunictions Tower Law by increasing set back requirements from property lines and structures, defining how setback requirements will be measured, modifying how waivers will be approved, establishing a “sunset provision” for inactive applications and making changes to the language dealing with bonding and inspections. In addition, Local Law No.1 of 2012 rescinds the current Telecommunications Tower Law.

Please take notice that the Town of Ancram Planning Board will hold a workshop meeting on Saturday February 18th, 2012 at 9:30AM at the Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7.

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the Tahmin Subdivision Application. The workshop is open to the public.

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the Tahmin Subdivision Application and the Mariner Cell Tower Application. The workshop is open to the public.

Ancram Town Councilwoman Madeleine Israel will participate at the 2011 year-end Ancram Town Board meeting and the 2012 Organizational Meeting held on January 5, 2012 at 6 pm (EST), the January 19, and February 16, 2012 regular Town Board Meeting held at 7 pm (EST), via Skype. In Ancram the Town Board will meet at 1416 CR 7, Ancram, NY 12503. Councilwoman Israel will participate via Skype from 8 Odessa Court, Redwood City, CA 94063.

There will be a special meeting of the Ancram Town Board on Saturday, December 17 at 10 am for the purpose of interviewing John Ingram for the position of Ancram Planning Board Chair, and for interviewing candidates for other Planning Board, Zoning Board of appeals and Board of Assessment Review positions opportunities.

Under consideration is an application submitted by Mariner Tower II, LLC with co-applicants New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (AT&T) and Stephen Tucker & Heidi Baldwin, proposing the construction, operation and maintenance of an unmanned public utility/personal wireless service facility (a “communications facility”) on a portion of land now or formerly owned by Stephen Tucker and Heidi Baldwin totaling approximately ten (10) acres in the Town of Ancram (tax Map Parcel 205-11.2 in the Residential “R: District).

All persons wishing to comment on the application will have an opportunity to do so.
