Ancram is Looking for a Kids Camp Director

The Town of Ancram is looking for a Camp Director to organize and run the 2022 Ancram Kids Camp.

The Camp Director is responsible for the overall operation of the Kids Camp including coordinating with the County Health Department, meeting the requirements of the NYS Health Department, coordinating with the Pool Manager and Head Lifeguard for camper access to the town pool, planning and scheduling Camp activities, hiring Camp counselors, making arrangements for field trips, securing the necessary tents, tables, and chairs for Camp, arranging for medical support for the Camp and developing a written safety plan.

NYS requires that Camp Directors have a Bachelor’s Degree or be at least 21 years old, and have at least 24 weeks of administrative or supervising experience in camping.

The Ancram Kids Camp normally accepts 40-50 children between the ages of 6 to 12, and requires a staff of up to 10 camp counselors.

Camp will run for 6 weeks in July and August. Planning for Camp will start in April.

And everyone can get free at-⁠home COVID-⁠19 test kits in the mail

Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order 4 free at-⁠home COVID-⁠19 tests. Orders will usually ship in 7-12 days. Order your tests now so you have them when you need them.

Four tests per family will be mailed to you.

Iron Star will appear and present a brief update on the status of the revisions being made to the project;

Because the Applicant has represented significant revisions are being made to the project, no public hearing session will be held at the February 3, 2022 meeting. The public hearing will be adjourned for continuation at an undetermined date. When a decision is made to resume the public hearing, notice of that will be posted and published in advance of the meeting.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town of Ancram Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.

 

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that the public hearing will be a hybrid public hearing accessible both in-person and via Zoom. The public hearing will take place at the aforementioned date and time: (1) at an in-person meeting of the Planning Board to be held at the Ancram Town Hall, located at 1416 County Route 7 Ancram, New York 12502; and (2) at the same date and time via Zoom. (Zoom access information below). Verbal comments may be offered to the Planning Board by the public via the Zoom access.

 

Under consideration by the Planning Board are the applications for the renewal of the Special Use Permit and Site Plan Approval for an annual farm equipment auction in the Town of Ancram bearing the Tax Parcel ID: 197.-1-2.12. This parcel is owned by Donald Duksa and Elizabeth Duksa. The parcel is located at 1030 County Route 27A, Ancram, NY, 12502.

 

The proposed auction does not include permanent improvements and The Applicant has represented there are only plans to conduct one (1) auction per year.

Town of Ancram Public Notice

The Town of Ancram will be accepting bids for the following: One 2022 or Newer crew cab 3500 srw 4×4 with 149” wheel base. Truck to be equipped with specified equipment. Bid specification packets may be picked up at the office of the Ancram Highway Superintendent, Town of Ancram Highway Garage, 32 Maple Lane, Ancramdale NY 12503. Bids will be accepted until 3:30 February 15, 2022. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Office of the Ancram Town Clerk 1416 County Route 7 Ancram NY 12502 at 12 noon February 16, 2022. Due to Covid restrictions, masks must be worn in the town hall and persons must maintain social distancing. Bids will be accepted or rejected at the Ancram Town Board meeting on February 17, 2022 at 7pm. The Town Board has the right to accept or reject any or all bids. All bids must be accompanied by a letter of non-collusion.
