PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town of Ancram Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 at 7:30 p.m.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that the public hearing will be a hybrid public hearing accessible both in-person and via Zoom. The public hearing will take place at the aforementioned date and time: (1) at an in-person meeting of the Planning Board to be held at the Ancram Town Hall, located at 1416 County Route 7 Ancram, New York 12502; and (2) at the same date and time via Zoom. (Zoom access information below). Verbal comments may be offered to the Planning Board by the public via the Zoom access.
Under consideration by the Zoning Board of Appeals is the Area Variance application in the Town of Ancram formerly bearing the Tax Parcel ID: 207.1-1-11. The parcel is owned by Owen Gardella. The parcel is located at Fox Hill Road and E Ancram Road, Ancramdale, NY, 12503.
The Applicant seeks an area variance of approximately 5.6 feet from the 50’ front yard setback requirement. The Application proposes an addition on an existing non-conforming structure and does not increase the non-conformity.

Ancram Public Notice – Ancram Town Board Seeks Applicants for Committee for Respectful Behavior -, The Ancram Town Board seeks Ancram residents to serve on a newly created Committee for Respectful Behavior (CRB) whose responsibilities will include recommending to the Town Board: 1) a Code of Conduct for Town of Ancram elected and appointed officials, employees, volunteers, and residents to guide respectful behavior in all Town activities; 2) a process and procedure to report, receive and investigate complaints from individuals who perceive they have been treated with disrespect in violation of the Code of Conduct by a town official, employee, volunteer, or resident who is participating in a public Town event; 3) a process and procedure to report the results of the investigation, recommendation and subsequent action, if any, to the complainant, Town Board and other affected parties; 4) the content, timing, and audience for a series of training programs that introduce the new Town Code of Conduct and which focus on verbal and nonverbal communications (including examples of disrespectful behavior) to supplement the mandatory annual NYS Harassment Training; and 5) any other programs, processes or actions that the CRB believes will contribute to the development of a culture of respectful behavior in the Town of Ancram. Applicants should submit a letter of interest outlining qualifications and experiences relevant to the Committee’s responsibilities to Town Supervisor Art Bassin via email at abassin@aol.com or by mail to Town Supervisor, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram NY 12502. Applications should be submitted prior to Friday, June 10, 2022. Interested applicants will be interviewed by members of the Town Board, which will appoint 5 to 7 members to the CRB.

Town of Ancram Public Hearing on Local Law #4 of 2022 – Support for Ancramdale Neighbors Helping Neighbors (ANHNA) Food Delivery Program – The Ancram Town Board will hold a public hearing at 6.45 pm on June 16, 2022 at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram NY on Local Law #4 of 2022 to provide financial support and the use of a town owned vehicle for the weekly ANHNA food delivery program.
