Planning Board: Please take notice that the Town of Ancram Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 6th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7. Under consideration is the application for a Special Use Permit for Solar Panels on parcel ID# 205.-1-19.111 owned by Stuart Farr located at 2993 Route 82, Ancramdale, NY 12503. All persons wishing to comment on the application will have an opportunity to do so.

Town of Ancram Public Hearing: The Ancram Town Board will hold a public hearing on Local Law No. 3 of 2017 – The Town of Ancram Highway Land Subdivision Regulations – at 6:45 pm on Thursday May, 18, 2017 at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram NY 12502 to solicit public comments on the proposed local law. A copy of the proposed local law is available from the Ancram Town Clerk and is posted on the Town of Ancram website at www.townofancram.org.

The Ancram Town Board will hold a public hearing on Local Law No. 2 of 2017 – The Town of Ancram Highway Constructions Standards Act – at 6:30 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram NY 12502 to solicit public comments on the proposed local law. A copy of the proposed local law is available from the Ancram Town Clerk and is posted on the Town of Ancram website at www.townofancram.org.

Please take notice that the Town of Ancram Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 4th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7. Under consideration is the application for a lot line adjustment between parcel ID# 196-1-9 owned by Jennifer Berne and parcel ID# 196.-1-11.111 owned by Eric Benn located on Westfall Road, Ancram, NY 12502. All persons wishing to comment on the application will have an opportunity to do so.

Highway: Seasonal Employment – The Ancram Highway Department is seeking to hire part time summer employees to assist with maintaining lawns around Town Hall, Blass Field, Town Pool and the monuments and cemeteries the Town is responsible for. Lawn mowing, weed whacking, leaves, plus other duties as assigned by the Highway Superintendent. Current driver’s license required. April 15 to November 1. Approximately 15 hours per week, on average, depending on weather. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Please take notice that the Town of Ancram Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday April 17th, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7.  Under consideration is an area variance to build an accessory structure (treehouse) within the 100 ft of a DEC Regulated Wetland, located at 159 Empire Road in the Town of Ancram.  All those who wish to comment are welcome to do so.
