Volunteers for Community Development Block Grant (CDBC) Project

The Town of Ancram is looking for volunteers to work with the Comprehensive Planning Committee on our Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project.

The CDBG project will focus on hamlet revitalization, economic development and affordable housing.

The CDBG Project Team will meet once a month, starting late in July. The work should be done by the end of 2008.

The CDBG Project Team will work with the Town’s consultants and the Comp Plan Committee to insure a broad base of opinions and perspectives are represented, and residents of Ancram, Ancramdale and Boston Corners are able to participate in the effort.

For more information on the CDBG project, go to the Comp Plan section of the Ancram Town web site (http://www.townofancram.org), scroll down to Documents, go to Grant Applications, and look at the second and third documents in that section. Also read the 5/19 and 6/2 Ancram Comp Plan Committee minutes, also on the Town web site.

Anyone interested in joining the CDBG Project Team should contact Art Bassin at 329-0921 or at abassin@aol.com.
