At its regular Town Board meeting on 3/17/2010 the Ancram Town Board passed the following resolution concerning the acquisition of .65 acres of land adjacent to the Town Garage and the granting of a right of way and easement over town land: Resolution number 12 of 2011: Subject to legal review and any requirements of Town Law, it is resolved that the Town Supervisor is authorized to accept the conveyance from Tucked in Farm LLC of .65 acres of land adjacent to the town garage which is described on a map done by surveyor Lynden Chase and filed with Columbia county as Filed Map number 162-10, and it is further resolved, subject to legal review, a permissive referendum if a petition requesting one is presented to the Town Clerk within 30 days of this resolution’s passing, and any other requirements of Town Law, that the Town Supervisor be authorized to enter into an agreement to grant to Dan Slott a right of way across the town garage lands to access the abandoned railroad bed, and an easement over the abandoned railroad parcel owned by the Town of Ancram for the purpose of doing maintenance to maintain the unrestricted flow of water under the trestle/culvert on the railroad bed parcel. Petitions requesting that the proposed grant of a right of way and easement over town land be subject to a permissive referendum are due to the Town Clerk within 30 days of the resolution having been past, or no later than April 16, 2011.
