Town of Ancram Public Notice – The following is a true copy of Local Law # 5 of 2021, a local law passed on December 16, 2021 by the Ancram Town Board by a unanimous roll call vote:

Local Law # 5 of 2021 – A LOCAL LAW ESTABLISHING THE 2022 SALARY OF CERTAIN TOWN OF ANCRAM ELECTED OFFICIALS SERVING FOR FIXED TERMS

BE IT ENACTED BY THE ANCRAM TOWN BOARD AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Whereas, Section 27 of the County Law and Municipal Home Rule Law requires that salary increases of fixed term officers in excess of the amounts indicated in the public notice of the Preliminary Budget public hearing shall be established by Local Law, subject to permissive referendum. Section 2. Whereas, the Ancram Town Board wishes to adjust certain elected official’s salaries to reflect the 5.9% increases in the cost of living index between 3Q 2020 and 3Q 2021. Section 3.  Therefore,  the annual salaries of the hereinafter designated Town of Ancram elected officials is hereby set at the following amounts for fiscal year 2022, effective January 1, 2022: Town Supervisor – $5,250; Town Board Member – $3,050; Town Highway Superintendent – $64,100; Town Clerk – $33,950; Section 3. THIS LOCAL LAW SHALL TAKE EFFECT FORTY-FIVE DAYS AFTER ITS PASSAGE AND IS SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM.

Town of Ancram Public Notice – Swearing In Ceremony for Town of Ancram Elected Officials and a Champagne Toast Honoring Madeleine Israel, George Wittlinger and Dennis Sigler – January 2, 2022 at 5 pm – In person with masks & via Zoom -Town of Ancram Justice Cathy Redlich will swear in Amy Gold and Bonnie Hundt as members Ancram Town Council and Art Bassin as Ancram Town Supervisor on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at 5 pm at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram NY, 12502.The swearing in ceremony will be followed by a champagne toast honoring Town Councilwoman Madeliene Israel, who is retiring from the Town Board after serving for 12 years, Judge George Wittlinger, who is retiring from the Bench after serving for 21 years as a Judge, and Dennis Sigler,  who is retiring from the Town Planning Board after 38 years of service.  Due to the recent surge of Covid in our area, the Ancram Town Board recommends you join us for the swearing in ceremony and champagne toast via Zoom:

Town of Ancram Public Hearing on a Local Law to Approve Amendments to the Town Zoni Law – The Ancram Town Board will hold a public hearing on Local Law # 4 of 2021, a law to approve amendments to the Town Zoning law, at 6.45 pm on Thursday, December 16, 2021. Copies of the proposed local law will be circulated to the Ancramemail list, will be available on the Town website at www.ancramny.org and at Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram, NY 12502, from the Town Clerk.

Town of Ancram Public Hearing on a Local Law to Approve Salaries of Certain Elected Officials – The Ancram Town Board will hold a public hearing on Local Law # 5 of 2021, a law to approve salaries of certain elected officials at 7 pm on Thursday, December 16, 2021. Salaries proposed for elected officials in the 2022 Final Budget are as follows: Town Supervisor $5,250; Town Council Member $3,050; Town Judge $5,835; Town Highway Superintendent $64,100,
Town Clerk/Tax Collector $33,950. Copies of the proposed local law will be circulated to the Ancramemail list, will be available on the Town website at www.ancramny.org and at Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram, NY 12502, from the Town Clerk
