Public Hearing (Comprehensive Plan) – 6/22/2009
The Ancram Comprehensive Planning Committee will hold a second public hearing on Draft 10 of Ancram’s Comprehensive Plan on Monday, June 22 at 7 p.m. at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7. The purpose of the Public Hearing will be to solicit comments from Ancram residents and property owners on Draft 10 of the Ancram Comprehensive Plan, dated June 10, 2009. In addition to the public hearing comment period on June 22, the Comprehensive Plan Committee will accept written comments by mail (addressed to A. Bassin, Ancram Comprehensive Plan, Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7, Ancram, NY12502 and email (to abassin@aol.com) until Friday, July 3, 2009. Draft 10 of the Ancram Comprehensive Plan will be available for review by the public starting on Monday, June15, 2009, at the Ancram Town Hall, will be on the Town web site at www.townofancram.org, and will be emailed to people on the Comp Plan email update list and by request. The purpose of the Public Hearing will be to solicit comments from Ancram residents and property owners on the Town’s Draft Comprehensive Plan. In addition to the public hearing comment period on April 25, the Comprehensive Plan Committee will accept written comments by mail (addressed to A. Town Board Special Meeting – 4/13/2009
The Town Board of the Town of Ancram does hereby announce that a Special Meeting will be held on April 13, 2009, 6:00pm at the Matthews property on Roche Lane, Ancramdale NY. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the change of the property lines in reference to the parcel the town is considering for the proposed Highway Garage. This meeting will be followed by another Special Meeting at 7:00pm at the Ancram Town Hall, 1416 County Route 7 Ancram NY, The second meeting will be to discuss with the Comprehensive Plan Committee the proposed Comprehensive Plan and will give the Town Board the opportunity to ask the Comprehensive Plan Committee questions they may have .
Planning Board Public Hearing – 9/4/2008
Please note that the Planning Board of the Town of Ancram will hold a public hearing on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 7:30 pm at the Town Hall at 1416 County Route 7 to consider an application by Westfall LLC for a minor subdivision on Westfall Road in Ancram. Volunteers for Farmland Protection Plan (FPP) Project Team
The Town of Ancram is looking for volunteers to work with the Comp Plan Committee on the Town’s Farmland Protection Plan (FPP) Project Team.
The FPP Project Team will focus on strategies, tactics and programs for promoting agriculture and protecting farmland and will meet once a month.
The role of the Farmland Protection Plan Project Team will be to work with the Comp Plan Committee to provide information and monitor the consultants working on the FPP Project. We expect to get a draft “project plan” proposal and budget from our consultants by early October. This draft Plan will be circulated to the Project Team for review and revision. First meeting of the FPP Project Team will probably be late in October.

Go to the Comp Plan section of the web site, scroll down to Documents, go to Grants and look at the first document that section.
